Feader, Donna Jean
February 16, 1961- July 18, 2026

Donna passed away suddenly on July 18, 2026 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Ira and Florence "Rose" (Moore) Tufts.

She was a mother to not only her own children, but to many others who came into her life. She loved children who were not biologically hers, as if they were, opening her heart and home without hesitation. Anyone who knew Donna, knew that being a mother and grandmother was her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. Her love was unconditional, and her family was always at the center of her world.

Donna spent her early years in Truro before moving to the South Shore as a teenager, where she remained for the rest of her life. She became a familiar and well-loved member of her community. She was always the first to offer a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on, never thinking twice if someone needed her. Her kindness, generosity, and caring spirit touched countless lives.

Donna will be lovingly remembered for her love of the colour blue, butterflies, flowers, music, card games, muscle cars, Pepsi, Timmies Coffee, and everything true crime. She had an uncanny ability to solve the mystery long before the television episode revealed the ending, and she loved every minute of it.

Family gatherings will never be the same without her. Shannon will especially miss their shopping trips together and how the errands somehow became some of the best memories, filled with laughter and treasured conversations. Donna had a one of a kind sense of humour that could leave everyone in tears from laughing. She had a way of making ordinary moments unforgettable.

No words could ever truly capture the incredible woman Donna was or the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, compassion, and unconditional love that will continue to live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Donna has been reunited with the loved ones she missed so deeply, especially her beloved daughter Rosa. She will be forever loved, forever missed and forever remembered.

Surviving are her children Shannon Feader, Hebbville, Todd Rafuse, Bridgewater, Karen Cook-Geoff (Bruce), Halifax; siblings Carolanne Tufts, Roy Tufts and Todd Weatherby; grandchildren Shane Tufts, Nicholas Croft, Darius Feader, Shantay Feader, Theo Feader and Kaitlyn Rafuse; Bonus children Angela Demone, Bridgewater and Andrea Slauenwhite, Montreal; Bonus grandchildren Melanie Mills (Scott), Joey Slauenwhite, Austin Slauenwhite (Mallory), Ian Marsman, Ethan Marsman and Eyanna Marsman. She is also survived by numerous family members in Truro and dozens of cousins, as well as her very close friend Renee Boliver and forever friend Mary Church.

She was also excited and awaiting the arrival of her first great-grandchild, (Little Nugget).

She was predeceased by her daughter Rosa Tufts; grandson Darnell Feader; sisters Debbie Tufts and Linda Tufts; brother Timmy Tufts.

There will be no formal service by request. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date with date and time to be announced. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
