In Loving Memory of Lee Arenburg
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of the legend himself, Lee Arenburg, who passed away at the age of 76 after a courageous fight, surrounded by the love of his family.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Smith, the surgeons, and the dedicated ICU nurses at South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) for the amazing care, compassion, and support Lee received during his time there.
Born on July 2, 1950, Lee lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He was the kind of man who could fix just about anything and was truly a jack of all trades. Whether he was working as a mechanic, tackling carpentry projects, fishing, or crafting the beautiful Christmas wreaths that so many people came to him for each holiday season, Lee took pride in everything he did. If you needed a wreath, his place was always the place to go.
Lee's heart was as big as his work ethic. No matter how he was feeling, he would do anything for anyone without expecting anything in return. His kindness, willingness to lend a hand, and quiet strength touched countless lives.
In his later years, Lee found peace at his camp, where he spent many cherished hours fishing and passing on his knowledge and skills to his beloved grandson, Kian, affectionately known as "his little buddy." Those moments together created memories that will be treasured forever.
Above all else, Lee was a family man through and through. His greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved, and his family was always at the center of his life. They truly don't make them like Lee anymore.
Lee leaves behind the love of his life, Wanda (Veinot) Arenburg; his daughters, Michelle and Stephanie; his sons, Rocky and David ("Bub"); his loving mother, Lillian; his sister, Deborah; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his lifelong best friends, Allan Tufts of Caledonia and Michael Stewart of Sunnybrae; his nephew, Murray Stewart of Sunnybrae; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Lee was predeceased by his father, Charles Arenburg; his stepfather, Frank Freeman; and his sister, Rose Bolivar.
The family takes comfort in knowing that Lee's legacy will live on through the lessons he taught, the love he gave so freely, and the countless lives he touched with his generosity and friendship.
There are no words to express how deeply he will be missed. We will carry his memory in our hearts and spend the rest of our lives missing him, while remembering the laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love he shared with all of us.
Rest easy, Lee. Your work here is done, but your legacy will live on in every life you touched and every memory you helped create.
