It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Frederick MacDonald of Pleasantville on 18 Apr 2026 at the age of 83.
Fred was born on 18 June 1942 in Blackville, NB, the son of Thomas and Lillian (Connors) MacDonald. His family moved to Brantford, ON when he was 9 years old.

He joined the Royal Canadian Navy when he was 17 and transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force, to serve for 23 years. He retired from the military and worked at Michelin Tire Co. for 20 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Joan (Thomson); daughters, Tanya (Jeff) Daigle and Tasha MacDonald; siblings: Norman (Marleen) MacDonald and Bernice Hulan; grandchildren: Megan, Stuart, Emily, Connor and Naydean; great grandson, Oliver.

He was predeceased by his brother, Orland MacDonald and his daughter, Tracy Corkery.

Fred was a great family man, loved by all for his kind and humorous ways, he will be missed and never forgotten. He was gifted with many talents, including painting, woodwork and mechanics. He loved music, hockey, curling, camping, fishing and gardening.
