Ingram Norris Wolfe, 88 of West LaHave, passed away April 10, 2026, surrounded by his family at the South Shore Regional Hospital.
He was the son of the late Roscoe and Sadie (Tumblin) of LaHave Islands.
Ingram spent his entire life on the ocean. A fisherman at heart he bought his first boat "Playmate" at the age of 13. In his early years he worked on the OK Service boats out of LaHave. He took his first lighthouse keeper job in 1961 at the age of 23 on West Ironbound and then in 1966 moved to Mosher’s Island where he remained until the automation in 1990.
He enjoyed many things throughout his life; fishing, hunting trips, country and western music, camping, CB dances, playing cards, jam sessions, eating out and going for car drives. He was a gifted storyteller, bringing the past to life with his vivid memories.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Lynne (Mossman), children Heather Wolfe, John (Tommy) and Marianna Grant. Granddaughters Nicole Sperry (Chad), Allison Grant (Liam) and Caitlin Grant (Elijah).
He was predeceased by his sisters, Bernice Olsen, Vivian Bartl and Marie Bush.
