It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father David Harold Mossman at the age of 65, on May 21, 2024. David’s life was cut shorter than we ever thought, and his passing has cut deep into our hearts.
David was the husband of Rachael Mossman, son of Harold (Lynn) and the late Sheila Mossman. Father to Amanda (Bryan) Savage of Grand Falls NB, Kyle (Tiffany) Mossman of Riverport NS. Grandfather to Madison, Kallum and Gracie. Grand-dog’s Bruce, Henry, and Penny. Brother Donnie (Mary Anne) Mossman, Darrell (Mary Ann) Mossman, and sister in law Pam Parks-Mossman. Nieces and nephews; Matthew, Julia, Jennifer, Tim.
David was born on September 6th, 1958 along side his brother Donnie, the two had the type of connection that was very unique, they grew up inseparable, knowing one and other like no one else did, easy to prank their teachers on who was who with the gift of being twins. David learned at a young age that the greatest gift his parents gave him was his two brothers Donnie and Darrell, he cherished and loved them dearly under all circumstances.
David met Rachael early in his life, he instantly knew she was the love that would last for eternity. The two became the best of friends, always together side by side enjoying each others company, supporting each other through all of life’s journey’s and always ready to entertain anyone, they loved being surrounded by good company.
David was the proud father to Amanda and Kyle. They learned many valuable life lessons from their dad. He taught them to be kind over anything, have fun and work hard. He was always there for every event; recitals, concerts, sports games and any late night studying, he made sure they were strong independent people and he reminded them always of how proud he was.
David was excited when he became a grandfather. Madison, Kallum and Gracie were always on his mind, even from afar. His visits with them were never long enough and he always had plans to watch them grow. We know he will be alongside us teaching them how to fish, and watching all their special moments with pride. Bruce, Henry and Penny were very special dogs to Grampy David and he prized playtime with the pups.
David was a friend to many he was thoughtful and caring. The door was always open and David was always there with a warm cooked meal. He loved to entertain and make sure everyone’s bellies were full. He had a love for automobiles and reconstructing them at a young age, he loved to be outdoors and enjoyed the beauty of nature. He knew how lucky he was to be surrounded by the beauty of First South, and the special neighbours and friends. Nancy and Nick were a special part of David’s life, he enjoyed Nancy’s talks and watching Nick grow alongside Amanda and Kyle.
Rachael decided she wanted to raise puppies in their thirties and David supported her in that adventure. We all know that David truly loved every moment and each of the dogs were so special to him.
David was one of a kind, he made everyone feel important and
valued, he made sure everyone was happy in life and cherished each
relationship he made along life’s journey.
Until
we meet again, we love you and know your watching over us.
As per David's wishes, there will be no service.
