Lowe (Ramey), Greta Victoria – 92, Greta, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024, at Mahone Nursing Home. Born in West Northfield on Victoria Day 1931 to Charles and Ethel Ramey (Bruhm), Greta's roots were firmly planted on the Ramey farm, where she spent her childhood days filled with adventure alongside her dear friend Marion and cousin Shirley. These cherished memories of dipping her toes in the brook and days spent coasting on the farm would remain close to her heart throughout her life. Greta and her cousin Shirley shared a special bond that lasted until her final days, with their phone chats serving as a testament to their enduring friendship.

At the age of 15, Greta met the love of her life, 19-year-old Robert Anderson Lowe. Their love story was one of a kind, and it was evident to all who knew them that they were destined to be together. Despite Greta's eagerness to marry Bob right away, they patiently waited until she turned 21, and on June 19, 1952, less than a month after her 21st birthday, they exchanged vows and became husband and wife.

Together, Greta and Bob embarked on countless adventures, traveling in their motorhome to Florida during winters and retreating to the cabin they lovingly built together on Big Mushamush Lake during summers. Their shared love for bluegrass festivals brought them many cherished friendships and memories. Additionally, the couple's vision and hard work led to the creation and development of the Victoria Acres housing subdivision in West Northfield, Lunenburg County. Their inseparable bond endured for 67 years until Bob's passing in December of 2019.

Greta was known for her kind and compassionate nature, especially her love for animals. In honour of her memory, donations may be made to the SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or any other charity of choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, with a private memorial scheduled to take place at a later date.

Greta leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories, forever etched in the hearts of those who know her.
