In Loving Memory of Earle Eugene Arenburg (April 5, 1932- November 12, 2023
Earle Eugene Arenburg, 91, of Conquerall Mills, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023.
Earle was born into a large family in North River, in the Annapolis Valley, to the late Matthew and Elizabeth (Shaffer) Arenburg, spending the first 13 years of his life there before moving to the South Shore and settling into the community of Conquerall Mills. This is where he would be married for over 60 years to the love of his life, Helen (Meisner) and where he would spend the rest of his days.
Earle spent his working years at many different jobs, including farming, forestry, seafaring, auto mechanic, and more, until eventually becoming more enjoyably self-employed at home as an auto mechanic. He later became the owner/operator of a small lumber mill and was even featured in a magazine article as the "Sawmill King" because of his hard work ethic and grit.
Earle and Helen had 5 children. When his boys were younger, they would go fishing, hunting and motorcycling. Earle enjoyed a full life. He enjoyed the company of many friends and family, and in his older years, he and Helen would go to many social gatherings and dances. He was a volunteer/member of the Conquerall Bank Fire Department, and he and Helen were life-long members of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Conquerall Mills.
Earle is survived by his children, Irene (Larry) of Ontario, Randall (Dorothy) of Middle Sackville, Michael, of Conquerall Mills, and Christopher (Lori) of Brookside; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Leora, Priscilla and Violet; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Earle was predeceased by his wife Helen; daughter Elaine; brothers Leslie, Harold, Lester, Charlie, Howard, Robert and Clarence; sisters Helen and Pearl.
