Janet Isabel Maddigan, 85 of Cookville, passed away November 5, 2023 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Liverpool on November 22, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Max and Olive (Publicover) Haughan.
Janet was a long time member of the Catholic Church, where she played the organ and sang in the choir for years. She spent years serving in the community as a Lionesse. Janet was a dedicated Mom who believed in family first, and in retirement was an avid golfer.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald; sons Michael (Beth), Paul (Wayne), Bradley (Carolyn) and Steven (Becky); grandchildren, Max (Gabby), Colton, Ethan, Jack, Madeline, and Jordan. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister Joan Chandler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 on Thursday November 9 in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. Funeral will be held at 2pm on Friday November 10 in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, with interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater..
