SMITH, Larry Smith

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our brother, Larry Smith of North Brookfield, Queen’s County. Larry passed away suddenly at the QE11 Health Science Center, Infirmary Site, Halifax from complications of surgery.

Larry was an avid hunter, always in competition with Friends, earning him the title of "BUCK Master.". He loved nature, and if he wasn’t home he was in the woods on his wheeler, visiting friends and family along the way. Larry’s greatest joys in life were his son Derrick, family and friends. He will be missed greatly by so many, including his cat Minnie.

Surviving are his son Derrick; sisters Marlene (Joe), Dale, Janice and Claudette (Mark); Uncle Cedric (Susan), Aunts Shirley, Mildred and Bev; cousins David and Darren, who were like his brothers, and many more cousins, nieces and nephews whom he adored and many close friends who were all like family to him.

He was predeceased by his parents Randolph "Bubba" and Mary Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00pm Sunday at the Pleasant River Community Hall. Interment will be held in Lakeview Cemetery, Pleasant River. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a trust fund for Derrick, C/O Dale or the R.A. Corkum Funeral Home until the account is set up.
