It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Norma Evangeline Scott (Selig), 85 of New Germany. She passed away peacefully at SSRH March 18, 2023.Norma leaves behind her husband of 42 years Ron Scott, sons Allen (Nancy) Barkhouse, Boyd (Kim) Barkhouse, and daughter Margaret (Peter) Hogg. Grandchildren Ryan (Stephanie) Barkhouse , Rachel (Shawn) Morrison, Amanda (Tony) Hogg, Alexander Hogg,  Brett (Laura) Barkhouse, and Bee (Jace) Barkhouse. Great-grandchildren Allister, Ryker, and Miller. She was predeceased by her first husband Sgt. Ralph Barkhouse, parents Maynard and Ruth Selig (Jefferson) and her brothers. Born in 1938 in Hebbville, she grew up on the family farm where her love for animals began. Family, animals, gardening, and spirituality were her passions. Her gardens were the envy of everyone, and Siamese cats were her spirit animal. Her home was always a welcome place for her children’s friends to hangout. She was open-minded and full of advice, good or bad. Norma’s beautiful soul will be missed by all. "Amazing Grace" will always hold a special place in our hearts. We would like to thank everyone who helped with her care till the end. There will be no visitation or service by request.
