CORKUM, Kirk Matthew - 57 of Oakhill, passed away March 14, 2023 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Gerald and Jean (Snyder) Corkum.

Kirk was employed with Silvers Garage for 32 years. He then spent time working for Mailman’s, now known as Gerhardts, where he really enjoyed working with Billy Gerhardt and the team. He was a hardworking man who had his daytime jobs, plus his night time jobs. He was a people pleaser and willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. His family meant the world to him and he will be missed by all.

Surviving are his daughter Kristi; son Matthew; Mother of his Children Elaine; brother Barry (Paulette); sister Charlene (Howie); grandson Tyson; his dog OJ; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

He was predeceased by his sister Catherine in infancy.

Special thanks to his Oncology Team, Cancer patient navigator, palliative care team, the 3rd floor nurses at South Shore Regional Hospital, Dr. Harris, Nurse Liz, and all the Doctors that cared for him during his illness. Your kindness and compassion will forever be remembered.

Memorial service to celebrate Kirk’s Life, will be held 1:00pm Friday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, Pastor Paul Jensen officiating. Masks are preferred in the Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Dayspring Cemetery following the service, and the procession will be lead by Kirk’s Trucker Family. Anyone wishing to participate in Leading Kirk to his resting place, please do so. It would make him happy.
