Logan Alexander McNeary passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023. He was 14 years old.
Logan entered this world on May 6, 2008 with the quietest cry
heard from a newborn, but he certainly did not stay that way. He soon
found his voice and once mobile he was off like the Flash, exploring,
adventuring, destroying, and creating. With his stunning fiery red
hair, his energetic enthusiasm, his infectious laugh, and his ability
to be silly and have fun that he loved to share with everyone, Logan
easily charmed everyone he met. Logan was known as the friendly,
vibrant, creative, passionate, artistic, talented, imaginative, one of
a kind, charismatic soul who was never afraid to march to the beat of
his own drum and was unapologetically himself always. It was hard to
miss Logan’s genuine love in sharing his passions with
whoever he could, from Michael Jackson moon walking down the halls,
sharing his favourite music, playing with Legos, raiding his
father’s Superhero comics, making movies with his friends,
drawing pictures, writing songs, to building a wrestling ring in the
backyard and sharing his wrestling knowledge (especially the older
stuff). Logan came crashing into this world and made a big impression
of a sweet, fun, wild, beautiful weirdo who left this life far too
soon, but Logan left a legacy that can live on in the hearts of all of
us.
Logan and his little brother Liam spent
most of their time together doing exactly what brothers do. They would
play, go wild, get into trouble, wrestle, and have sleepovers staying
up late talking and playing games. As brothers they were thick as
thieves and always knew they had each other.
In
Logan’s memory, take time to be silly, to laugh, to have
fun, to be kind, and share your passion, and be unapologetically you
always.
Logan will be lovingly remembered by his parents Juanita and Bob McNeary, his younger brother Liam McNeary, his grandparents Madeline Wheeler, Greg Joudrey, Leo and Sandra Bush, and George and Stella McNeary, Auntie Denise Bush, Uncle Mike McNeary, Uncle Nick (Melissa) Joudrey, and his cousins Hannah and Lucas Joudrey.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Food Bank would be appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Feb 25, 2023 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Michelin Social Club, 221 Logan Road. We will also be livestreaming and recording for those who are unable to attend in person. Refreshments and some of Logan’s favourite snacks will be provided. In true Logan fashion, we suggest keeping your fancy formal clothes at the back of the closet and wear your favourite Superhero or wrestling t-shirt or anything that reminds you of Logan’s fun spirit. Capes and Luchador masks are welcome.
