On Thursday, February 2, 2023, Daisy Marguerite Beck (Kaulbach) got her angel wings at Harbour View Haven in Lunenburg at age 91. Born December 16, 1931 in Conquerall Mills, she was the beloved wife of the late Lawson Beck of Upper Branch.

She is predeceased by her husband Lawson, parents Willie Warren and Mertie (Norman) Kaulbach, sisters Ivy Crawford, Minnie Drennan and brothers Ernest and Emery Kaulbach.  She is survived by daughter Corinne Eisnor (Tony), Chester Basin, three grandchildren, Benjamin, Sarah and Johannah Eisnor and many nieces and nephews.

Daisy was a lifelong, faithful member of  the churches at St. James, Conquerall Mills,  St. Luke’s, Baker’s Settlement and St. John’s, Chester Basin. She embodied a community spirit and enjoyed many joyful hours as an active member of the congregations, as well as later joining the Grace Anglican ladies guild and South Shore Seniors Club.

She brightened every room with her smile, laughter and unconditional kindness. She characterized the gentlest soul and taught us to appreciate the endless beauty of nature and animals. She dedicated herself to loving and supporting her family from home, but was to us an exemplary teacher and nurse. She sought out knowledge, continuing her education by correspondence after grade school, and completing the Red Cross home nursing program.  At home in Conquerall Mills she pursued painting, and played multiple instruments including mandolin, guitar, organ and violin.  These passions expressed her faith and love of nature. Many hours were spent with Corinne sharing songs and a love of books.  She fashioned many quilts for her grandchildren with precious love in each stitch. We will so greatly miss her loving strength and care.

Funeral arrangements for  Daisy have been entrusted to the care of the R.A. Corkum funeral home, Wileville.  Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m, all at the R.A. Corkum funeral home, Rev. Willis Ott officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lone Pine cemetery, Upper Branch.  Masks are still preferred in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Grace Anglican Church, Chester Basin, the Red Cross, the Alzheimer's Society, or IWK.   Online condolences may be made by visiting www.corkumfuneralhome.ca
