CHILDS, Cecil Jr. - Cornwall. It is with great sadness that Cecil grew his Angel wings on January 19, 2023 when he passed away at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater surrounded by many loved ones. Born in Newfoundland on September 6, 1945, he was a son of the late Margaret and Cecil, who were from Lunenburg.

Cecil was a fisherman in his earlier years for National Sea, Lunenburg. He then fished for Mersey Seafood in Liverpool. Besides his family, he had many Sea Family.

Surviving are his sons, Todd, of Fort Mac, Robert (Lacey), of Springfield, chosen son Greg Robb, of Fort Mac; daughter in-law Carla, of Whynotts Settlement; brothers Clide (Valerie) of Northwest, Watson (Judy) of Whynotts Settlement, Charlie (Mimi) of Shelburne; sisters Jane (Jim) of Lunenburg, Marie of Riverport, Kathy of Kentville; many loving grand children, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Cecil of Lunenburg,; his loving wife Marilyn of Maitland and his son Timothy of Whynotts Settlement; brother Frank of Lunenburg; sisters Margaret (Angus"Sunny") of Yarmouth; Melinda (Watson) of Lunenburg.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Oakhill Fire Hall on Saturday February 4th, 2023 at 2:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, where on-line condolences may be made by visiting www.corkumfuneralhome.ca
