It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda June Joudrey, age 85 of Maplewood, announces her passing on Friday, December 9, 2022, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born on September 13, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Flora (Weagle) Hatt.
Brenda was a hard-working woman who loved to cook
and took great pride in her home and property. She was an avid wreath
maker for more than 30 years, making over a thousand handmade wreaths
each holiday season. Brenda was most proud of her family, taking joy
over the years in hosting Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings where
she always had a hot meal and delicious desserts on the table for her
cherished family. Family favorites were her homemade brown bread,
baked beans, turkey dinner with all the fixings, apple pie, and cherry
cheesecake.
Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her
children, daughters Linda Leopold and Debbie Levy of New Ross; sons
Kendal Joudrey and Wendell Joudrey of Maplewood; her grandchildren
(Randall, Tammy, Tiffany, Jennifer, Amanda, Tonya, and Nicholas
"Nick"); her 10 great grandchildren; her sisters Elaine
Hupman of Summerville Centre and Jeanette Walker of
Bridgewater.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was
predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Medford Joudrey;
son, Ronald "Ronnie"; grandson, Brandon; granddaughter,
Kaylee; her brothers Amos Jr. "Sonny", Lorraine
"Bubby", and Maurice; sister Evelyn; half-sisters Katie
Eichel and Phyllis Hamm; and her half-brother Lester.
There will be no visitation. A private graveside
service for immediate family will be held at the Parkdale-Maplewood
Community Cemetery, Parkdale. Memorial donations may be made to South
