Philip Owen Wentzell, 65, of Conquerall Bank, passed away suddenly on August 10, 2022. He was the son of the late Linnes and Frances (Wagner) Wentzell. Philip is survived by his son Owen (Amanda) and daughter Becky (Elvy) Hirtle; granddaughter Jasmine Hirtle; two sisters, three brothers and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Paul and brother in-law Frederick Arenburg. He retired from CanExel on April 7, 2022 after serving 47 years as a sawyer. He was the most kind hearted and loving father who enjoyed four wheeling with his son and shopping with his daughter. He loved spending time with his granddaughter as she brought him great joy. He loved to work around his yard, which he was proud of, especially his flower box. He loved socializing with family and friends and always lending a helping hand when needed. His two children and granddaughter who he loved more than life itself will always carry him in their hearts for eternity. Family flowers only. Visitation will be 7-9pm on Monday August 15 at R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, where masks will be required.   Memorial service will be 1pm on Thursday August 18 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater.
