CROSS, Ingerson Arnold -88 , passed away Friday October 15, 2021 in Harbourview Haven, Lunenburg. Born in Lake Centre on February 5, 1933, he was the only son of the late Gavin and Maude (Bezanson) Cross, although he had many step siblings. In his early days, he loved cars and of course horses. He always had horses, oxen and cattle. As he aged and the animals became too much, he loved puzzles and puzzle books. He always loved having a dog, each one had a special place in his heart. He had a love of music and was very talented playing guitar, fiddle, banjo and other string instruments. He loved the house coming alive with a few drinks and lots of music. He loved to drive and was not that happy when he was unable to do it anymore. He loved his trips to town a couple times a week to No Frills or Frills, as he called it, and Giant Tiger or Tigers as he would say. He became well known by the tellers. He loved his kids and grandkids and was very proud of them. He worked at Boehner’s Mill as a truck driver and many other things. He also ran dump truck for a spell and retired when Riverport Fish Plant burned down. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Norma, who still resides at Harbourview Haven; daughter Wendy (Bridy) Meisner, Lake Centre; sons Derrick (Julia), Lake Centre, Jeffrey (Cindy), Danesville; step son Gary Weagle (Lisa), Ontario; grandchildren Natasha (Ryan Grimm), Jason (Denise Roswell), Jordan (Rebecca) Cross, Candace (Dexter Reeves), Amber (Brandon Fralic), Kayla; eight, almost 9 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his step siblings Seamore, Roland, Wesley, Kelly, Ruby, Olive and Audrey. A thank you goes out to the staff at Harbourview Haven, with Covid making it hard for visitors, they became an important part of Ingerson’s live and it was felt by the family in his final days. There will be a private graveside interment by invitation only. Memorial Donations may be made to the Dementia Society, SHAID, or the charity of your choice.
