It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing
of Brenda Marlene (Sperry) Weagle, 84 of West Dublin after a
courageous battle with a lengthy illness on June 27, 2021 at the South
Shore Regional Hospital.
Born in West Dublin, she was the daughter of the late Ida Elmore (Wamboldt) Sperry and late Lamech Edward Sperry. She is survived by her cherished children, Beverly (Jacques) Benoit, Blair, Bentley and Arden, brother Carroll Bain (Kathy) Sperry, nephews David and Michael Sperry, Uncle Loraine (Delta) Wamboldt and many other cousins.
Brenda was dedicated to her community where she was heavily involved with many different groups and organizations where she was always eagerly willing to help and support those in need, she always preferred to give rather than receive.
Brenda was a long-time member of the Emerald Rebekah Lodge# 66, IOOF where she acted as secretary for many years and enjoyed attending their conventions throughout the Atlantic provinces.
Brenda enjoyed attending several churches in different communities where you could often find her playing the organ, singing, or just enjoying the service. During her spare time, she was an avid baker, knitter, and sewer, most of which she graciously donated to those in need or gave for fundraisers. She loved her gardens and plants where she would spend numerous hours weeding and planting. She enjoyed going out to card parties, socials, visiting friends and helping out wherever or however she could.
She always welcomed anyone to stop by for a visit whether it was her children, a neighbor or a complete stranger and always made sure they had a cup of tea and something to eat before they left. Her door was always open and would always take time for a yarn and to catch up with the news. She loved preparing and cooking family dinners and always made sure you had a belly full plus a little extra to take home with you.
Most of all, she adored all her children for who they were and what they become and was very proud of each and every one of them. She was truly a devoted, kind, loving, give the shirt off her back type of person who will be truly and forever loved and missed.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the physicians and medical staff over the years especially those at the South Shore Regional Hospital who cared for mom during her illness and final stay in the hospital.

When my feet were small, you lovingly set them in the right paths.
Thank you for all the times you comforted me when I was hurt or afraid and listened to how I felt.
And as I grew, you showed me to see beauty when I was broken, brought me gladness when I was sad and praised and encouraged me when all seem lost.
Thank you for your secret prayers for me. You`ve been my best friend here on earth, and if God hadn’t chosen you as my mother…… I would have picked you anyway”. -author unknown.
