MCCREADY, Carol Theresa - 67, of Pentz, Lunenburg County, passed away May 18, 2012 in the QE11 Health Science Centre, VG Site, Halifax. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Eric and Edna (Baker) Wilkie. Carol loved singing, sailing, Tai Chi and travelling. Her travel dreams were fulfilled when she traveled overseas to Europe and Austrailia. She especially loved her grandchildren and she spent approximately 40 years as a social worker, devoting her life to the families and children she worked with. She is survived by her husband Ron; daughter Kelly Reddy (J.C.), Conquerall Bank; son Scott (Cindy), London, Ontario; grandchildren Michael and James Reddy, Kadin and Landin McCready. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00am Wednesday, May 23 in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater. Father Brian Murphy Officiating.  Private family interment will be held at a later date. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
