She is survived by her husband, Donald Ernst; daughter and son-in-law Wanda (Ernst) Murison and David Murison; step-daughter Tammy (Ernst) Bentley; sister and brother-in-law Patsy (Veinot) and Granville Grace, and their daughter, son-in-law, and grandson Michelle (Grace), Ricky, and Tyler Knickle; sister-in-law Marjorie (Ernst) Rode, and her children Greg Matz and his wife Kendall, Cheryl (Matz) Bowden and her husband Steve, and Carole (Matz) Booth and her husband Gary; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles and Ruth (Manthorne) Ernst, and their children Andrew Ernst and his wife Davonna, and Kristen (Ernst) Peace and her husband Michael. Betty Lou was a devoted wife and mother who cared deeply about others and was known for her infectious smile and sense of humour. She was a life-long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was an active member of the choir for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed playing the piano, knitting, and completing the Lexicon, and she was also an avid reader and collector of Red Rose teapots and Tim Hortons mugs. Her fondness for stuffed animals, especially ones that played music, will be fondly remembered, too.

Cremation has taken place. Due to current gathering restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bridgewater, or a charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, where on-line condolences may be made by visiting www.corkumfuneralhome.ca.
