HOOPER, Lois Elizabeth - New Elm. Surrounded by family, Lois went home to be with her Lord on Thursday March 14, 2019. Born September 21, 1934, she was the youngest daughter of Arthur and Susan (Kaizer) Sawler. Loving wife of the late Pastor Jack Hooper, she faithfully served with him in pastoral ministry for many years. After Jack's passing, she continued visiting sick and shut-in friends, playing the organ each Sunday and greeting all she met with a ready smile. Surviving are her daughters Darlene (Terry) Knock; sons JD (Katie), Allan (Annette), Andrew; grandchildren Christopher, Aaron, Alex, Andrea, Ashley, Marion, as well as six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Lola and Bonna; brother Arthur; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brothers Lewis and sisters Doris and Shirley. Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Saturday March 23, 2019 in Chelsea Christian Fellowship Church. Private family interment will be held at a later date. No visitation by request.
