It is with great sadness that the family of Phillip Albert Joudrey, 66, announces his peaceful passing on July 30th, 2018 at the South Shore Regional Hospital. Born and raised in Bridgewater along with his six siblings, Phillip had a great fondness for Nova Scotia and the South Shore. He loved spending time outside hiking, biking, and boating, as well as playing baseball and hockey with his friends. Phillip was truly a jack-of-all-trades and a master of many; he took great pride in his countless woodworking projects and could fix just about anything. He was very proud to have attended Acadia University, where he earned bachelors degrees in mathematics and education. He also later completed a masters degree in education at Saint Marys University. Phillip served as a dedicated, beloved mathematics teacher at Bridgewater High School for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Ann (Slauenwhite); daughter, Shannon (Adam) Timmons; grandsons, Brayden and Curran Timmons; siblings, Kenneth, Brian, Pamela Lumsden, Derick (Susan), Erick (Cathy), and Carole (Clint Sanheim), as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Joudrey and Doris (Arthur) Joudrey. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 29th from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Best Western Plus Hotel and Convention Centre in Bridgewater. Phillips family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the South Shore Regional Hospital for the excellent care he received throughout his illness. Memorial donations may be made to the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore or another charity of ones choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R. A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, where online condolences may be made by visiting www.corkumfuneralhome.ca.
