RODENHISER, Walter Clifford - 79
of Dayspring, passed away Friday June 15, 2018 in South Shore Regional
Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Dayspring on February 28, 1939, he was
a son of the late Clarence and Blanche (Taylor) Rodenhiser. Walter
went to sea at the age of 15 and over the course of 50 years, became
Chief Engineer and retired at age 65 after 20 years with OCI (Formerly

animals, with oxen, cattle, dogs and cats as part of his life. After
retiring he never got far from the sea as he spent most of his time
tinkering with his boat and helping everyone with theirs, as he was
able. He spent time in the great out doors loving to hunt, although in
recent year, shooting deer was usually done with only a camera. Walter
is survived by his sister Florence Holmans, Dartmouth; brother Burton,
Ontario; partner Anne Ward, Dayspring; numerous Nieces and Nephews;
great and great-great nieces and nephews; not to forget his little
buddy Tootsie the cat. He was predeceased by brothers Robert, Harry;
sister Ruth Wentzell. Graveside Service will be held 11:00am Thursday
in Dayspring Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial Donations may be
