Eva Jane Bush, 87, Hebbville, died May 16, 2018 at Harbour
View Haven in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia after a very brief battle with
cancer. She was the beloved daughter of Laura Mae Baker and James
William Baker, both of New Cumberland. She was predeceased in 1995 by
her husband of 44 years, Douglas Francis, and sisters Florence,
Shirley, Muriel and Ruth. Surviving are brother Lee and sisters
Melissa and Mildred. Eva leaves behind a long legacy, including 10
children that she adored: Beverly Robar, Aubrey, David, Paul, Wendy,
Carolyn, Leo, Grace, Brenda and Pearl Clothier, all of Lunenburg
County. They gave her 20 grandchildren, who in turn gave her 25
great-grandchildren. Her first great-great grandchild was born last
June. Visitation will be May 22 from 5-7 p.m. at R.A. Corkum Funeral
Home in Wileville, and the service on May 23 at 2 p.m., officiated by
Rev. Willis Ott. She will be interred at Hebbville Cemetery, beside
her husband, on what would be their 67th wedding anniversary.
Donations in her memory may be made to The Rose Fund (
therosefund.ca). Instead of mourning her loss, listen to Charley Pride
and drink a bottle of Keith's in her honour, remembering the absolute
force of nature she was in life. She will be missed.
