BENTLEY, David Logan -
Bridgewater. It is with profound sadness, that we announce the passing
of David Bentley, Beloved husband, father and grandfather, on April
20, 2018 in Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg. Born in Amherst, he was a
son of the late Charles and Ruth (Fraser) Bentley. David moved to
Bridgewater as a young child and had various jobs over the years. Some
included working on the Baffin, the US Military (Navy), the Pugwash
Salt Mines, Fisherman Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg and Can Exel. David
had a love for fishing and baseball, especially the Toronto Blue Jays.
He loved history, and especially things to do with the Second World
War. He liked to take his metal detector on the beach and grounds
surrounding his home. He was very friendly and easy going and got
along with everyone. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all
who had the fortune of knowing him. Surviving are his wife, Tammy
(Ernst); son Scott; brother Phillip (Leanne); nephew John
Bentley; niece Lisa Miller; grandchildren Logan,
Larissa, Lily, Jasmine and Carson. He was predeceased by his first
wife Marilyn (Courtney); son Peter. The family will receive friends
from 6-8pm Thursday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. Graveside
Service 1:00pm Friday in Pleasantville Cemetery. Family flowers only.
