It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our precious mother, Joyce Carol Clooney, surrounded by love, on April 20, 2018 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater NS  Born April 26 ,1931 in Stellarton Pictou Co. she was the daughter of  Georgina (MacDonald) Tracey and stepfather David Tracey. She was the second oldest of ten children, later in life raising her own  family of eight.  Throughout her life Mom had several interests such as bowling, playing crib,  knitting ,reading, watching her favourite TV shows ,talking on the phone, but most of all spending time with family and friends.   She loved her family dearly and unconditionally and looked forward to spending time with them, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, near and far, were a great source of pride for Mom and she loved showing off their pictures.  She was a very social and welcoming person who made friends easily and was very quick to "put the kettle "on for tea. She developed great friendships over the years and considered these to be part of the family as well.  Attending to her spiritual relationship was very important to Mom. In her younger years she enjoyed going to the Salvation Army. In later years she was a very active member of St. Mark's Anglican Church, Mill Cove, and a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church Bridgewater NS.  She will be sadly missed by her Sons and daughters in law  William (Billy) Green and Pam BC.  Gary Green and Aline, Manitoba, Donald Green and Peggy, Hebbs Cross NS, Kevin Green and Nancy, East River NS.  Her daughters and son in law Sharon and Barry Levy, Liverpool NS,  Cathy Hughes Blockhouse NS Daughter in law Sandra Green, Bridgewater NS.  Mom loved and was loved by her grandchildren and great grandchildren  Nieces, nephews, extended family.  Siblings   David Tracey and Marion, Alberta, John Tracey and Beth,   William (Billy) Tracey and Val, Patrick Tracey, All of Pictou County NS, Lillian Tye, Hamilton On.  Nancy Crosby, Pictou Co, NS, Treasured friends Mary Boulay, Marion and Hughie Mossman  She was predeceased by husband Raymond Clooney,   Sons, David and George Green, Stepson Terry Clooney;  Grandsons Pte. Ricky Green and Scott Jefferson; Grand daughters Leanne Green and Dawn Hughes;  Brother Robert Tracey,  Sisters Yvonne and Joan.  Service will be held in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater NS, April 25 ,2018 at 2:00 pm.  Memorial Donations may be made to Feed Nova Scotia or the Charity of your choice.   The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Heather Robertson and Dr. Esther Raymond for the excellent care and compassion Mom received over the years. Your concern and attentiveness to her is truly appreciated.  Also to those at Mahone Bay Nursing Home and South Shore Regional Hospital who cared for Mom with kindness, patience and understanding.
