Richard Enslow

Enslow, Richard Everett - 74, Bridgewater. It is with deep sadness that the family of Richard Everett Enslow, announces his passing on March 11, 2018 at Queen’s General Hospital Liverpool, N.S., surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Halifax March 14th, 1943, but grew up in Lockeport N.S. He was the son of the late Percy and Mabel (Williams) Enslow. Richard was a deep sea Scallop Fisherman for 40 years and had a deep love for the sea. He loved playing crib and taking Sunday drives with mom. His most favourite thing to do was spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved and cherished dearly. He was a very gentle and kind man who would reach out to help whomever needed. He loved listening to his old country music, especially his most favourite Stompin Tom Connors, who he had the privilege of meeting. He is survived by his children Ann Enslow, Halifax; Sherry Acker (Lindsay) New Germany; Angela Kilfoy (Paddy) Saint John, N.B.; Crystal Enslow (Granddaughter) Mahone Bay; Grandchildren Dennis Wagner, Zach Wagner, Patrick Kilfoy, Garett Acker, Sonya Acker; great- grandchildren Chloe, Brooklyn, Cora, Dominick, Jayda, Kyson and Brayden. He was predeceased by his loving wife Beverly, whom he cherished for 53 years and by his brother Pearly. Special thanks to Jocelyn Penton who helped Richard and the family in so many ways during our sad time. Thank you to Dr. Ernest and all the medical staff at Queen’s General Hospital for all their compassion, they went above and beyond anyone’s expectations to provide great comfort to him and his family. As per Richards request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Private family interment will take place at a later date. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Queen’s General Hospital, Liverpool. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.A.
