Linda Louise (nee Lohnes) Horstman born November 9, 1949 in New Germany. We regret to announce her untimely and unexpected passing on March 6th, 2018. Though she was an avid yard saler, her true passion was collecting salt & pepper shakers. Kangaroos, bears, lawnmowers, were amongst those prominently displayed in the china cabinet. She had also kept an eye out for items for friends and family. Throughout her marriage, she had supported her husband Charlie, throughout various business and personal endeavours such as marble collecting and stamp collecting. In her younger years, she hosted Tupperware parties and often travelled the countryside delivering orders with her son James. These excursions usually included a stop at her niece Debbie's home. Apart from being a long-time member of the Bridgewater Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, she had also volunteered as a library assistant in the Bridgewater Elementary and Annex along with being a Beaver and Cub leader with 4th Bridgewater Scouting group. She enjoyed watching birds at the feeder, in particular the blue jays. Though she was not a bingo enthusiast like her sister Margie, she was an avid Crossword scratch ticket enthusiast. During her children's teenage years, she enjoyed spending the summer camping at Risser's Beach. She is is survived by her husband, Charles, and her two sons, James and John along with her brother, Beverly (Helen) Enfield, three grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Oswald and Sadie(Levy) of Watford along with brothers Ira and Paul, along with sister Marguerite. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held 2pm April 15th at Bridgewater Fire Department. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
