THOMPSON, Godfrey William - New Germany, formerly of Newburne, passed away February 14, 2018 with his loving wife by his side. He was the son of the Late Randall and Irene (Aulenback) Thompson. Godfrey worked many years as a log truck driver, shipbuilder and carpenter. At home, he enjoyed tending his farm, working in the woods, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and his many dogs over the years. Surviving are his wife, Faye (Veinot); daughter Carla Thompson, New Germany, Son Craig Thompson (Amber), Hebb’s Cross; seven grandchildren, Vanessa, Billy Jr., Stacey, Janelle, Howard, Devon, Brady; great-grandchild Arya; brother Gary Thompson (Judy), Blue Rocks; one niece and one nephew. He was predeceased by brothers Milton, Raymond; sister Nancy; a grandson in infancy. There will be no service by request.
