Stockman,

Warren Eugene age 86, residing in Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay, formerly of Bridgewater. Born in Nineveh, he was the only child of the Late Henry and Jennie (Crouse) Stockman. Warren spent his early life living in New Germany and working at Zwickers Mill. After moving to Bridgewater he worked for 25 years at Nauss Brothers before retiring. In his early years he was manager of the New Germany Softball Team. He was in the Reserve Army for 18 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bridgewater, a life time member of the West Nova Scotia Regiment, an avid card player and for many years played darts with the legion. He loved going to the Oakhill Music Jammers, watching old western movies, going to dances, traveling and he loved dogs. He is survived by daughters Carolyn (Garry) Lohnes, Mahone Bay, Carmel Hebb (Wayne Selig), Bridgewater; granddaughters Michelle McIsaac, Bridgewater, Cindy Croft, Bridgewater; grandson Jason Hebb, Bridgewater; great grandsons Jacob McIsaac and Cody Croft; great granddaughter Alyssa Croft. Warren was predeceased by son Moyle. Visitation will be 7-9PM Tuesday with a public legion tribute service at 7PM in R. A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville and where funeral service will be 2PM Wednesday. Rev. Dave Campbell officiating. Interment in Epworth United Cemetery, New Germany. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24, SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or the S.P.C.A. Thanks to all staff at Mahone Nursing Home. Also thanks to "Molly" the dog who put a smile on Warren’s face. A special thanks to Dr. Raymond for all the care she gave.
